I used this night to continue my journey through the Messier catalog.
This is M26, 19x30s at ISO1600.
This photo was captured with the DSLR only, with a simply 18-55mm lens at 55mm, ISO1600 and 142×20 second exposures. Done with a simple tripod, no tracking (as you can see on the startrails).
Unfortunately, we currently cannot see Andromeda from the exact location where the telescope stands. There are some trees blocking the view. But later this year, we should be able to get a better image of Andromeda either through the telescope or with the DSLR piggybacked on the telescope mount! 🙂
